Griotte-Chambertin is a grand cru appellation in France, covering 2.7 ha in Gevrey-Chambertin. The rules allow red wine, based on Pinot Noir. Regional bedrock: unconsolidated sediments. It lies 9.2 km south-west of Chenôve and 12 km south-west of Dijon.
The smallest grand cru of Gevrey, set in a slight hollow next to Chapelle. Prized for an intensely fruity, cherry-scented profile that matches its name.
