Bonnes-Mares is a grand cru appellation in France, covering 15.1 ha in Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis. The rules allow red wine, based on Pinot Noir. Regional bedrock: unconsolidated sediments. It lies 6.1 km north of Nuits-Saint-Georges and 14 km south-west of Dijon.
Grand cru shared between Morey-Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny. Growers distinguish darker 'terres rouges' and paler, chalkier 'terres blanches', which shape a wine that is both firm and fragrant.
